ARTS BLOG TITLE: Task 3 YEAR 9 THEATRE IN EDUCATION -REFLECTION

1. Global context-
Describe how your planning, ideas final reflect the Global Context and Statement of Inquiry?
So I did my final project about 'Mental Bullying'. And I mainly did it because not many people know what are the effects of 'Mental Bullying'. I hope there is a change in the world and people that do bully people know what they're doing is hurting people. To an extent where they stop eating etc.
Do you have a better understanding of the GC?
Yes, I do feel like I have a better understanding of the Global Context. 'Fairness and Development'.
2. Knowing and Understanding: (A)
What do you understand about the purpose of this chosen style linked with Brechtian Theatre?
What research did you do in your own time?
I did a lot of research about Explorative strategies, Alienation Technique, and A lot about Bertolt Brecht. He was a Theatre practitioner, Play writer, and a Poet.
What challenges did you/your group face?
Our full group did face challenges, As we obviously weren't in school so we couldn't directly ask our teacher questions in person and it was harder to explain our issues through an email. And as we move into Year 10, I picked drama as one of my subjects and I really hoped I could've got a feel for what we would be doing next year. But I still think and hope we will have fun next year in our drama lessons because I love acting things out.
In your opinion does this style of theatre work, can have an impact on the audience?
Which forms of media did you use to enhance your work?
I used social media to get more information and I also used Broadcast media as I did a voice over for my final project. Before we started our final project I used Broadcast media a lot because it is very easy and fun to make a podcast.

Identify the skills you needed and used to complete your work? From explorative strategies, Brechtian techniques, design, editing, sound, etc...
Give an example of how you applied skill in your ideas on the storyboard, illustrations, or video footage you produced in this unit?
For my final project which included a video and a storyboard, I used Design, Editing, Sound, and Freeze Frame.
What were your strengths?
My strength 100% was Editing because I generally love editing videos and podcasts. I try to spend my free time editing videos.
What would you like to improve on & why?
I would really like to improve on the freeze-frame because I know I am not the best at it.
4. Thinking creatively and responding (C & D)
How did you demonstrate creativity & imagination?
I tried to be very creative with my storyboard and I used my imagination for my freeze frame, I took a picture and I added text in the background imagining people were making comments about me.
What skills could you transfer from this project to other subjects or life in general?
I will transfer my skills of editing to my other subjects for my other projects. And I will continue to use it in general for my family and I's Social media accounts.
How do you think the content, ideas, and execution of your work could impact the world?
How would you evaluate your level of commitment, personal management, and enthusiasm in the unit?
